A:Mercedes Sprinter vans come as 9-seaters from Mercedes Benz. Some outfitters add different seating variations ranging from 12 seats to 15 seaters. It is essential to know that the maximum number of people in a van with a non-commercial license is 9 passengers. That includes the van driver.
When you rent a van, and you are not charging others for your driving services you can rent a 9 seater and drive it with your regular car drivers license issued from any state in the US.
Q: Can I rent a 12 seater Sprinter van in Germany?
A:Yes, but Germany and other European countries allow private usage of vans only for a max of nine people in a van so we do only have very few 12 and 15-seaters in available in Southern Germany, and Austria.
